With deep sorrow, the Honorary Consulate General of the Czech Republic in San Francisco/Silicon Valley regrets to inform you of the passing of former President of the Czech Republic, Mr. Václav Havel, on December 18, 2011.

A Book of Condolence will be opened at the Consulate, 500 Sansome Street, Suite 800, San Francisco, CA 94111, from Tuesday, December 20, 2011, until Thursday, December 22, 2011, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

We hope that wherever you are, you will join us in honoring, in your own way, a leader who underscored not just for his countrymen but for millions throughout the world the value of living in truth.
