Czech Choir from Ceska Lipa

When: Thursday, June 3, 2010, from 5:00 pm.
Where: Main entrance of Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco

This Thursday, June 3 at 5:00PM we can meet 18 young members (age 13-17) of Czech Choir from Ceska Lipa at main entrance of Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. They are going to sing for us couple of songs from Czech classic composers, folk songs from Bohemia, Moravia and Slovakia, plus some spirituals.

Czech & Slovak Meetup (South American party – Bar Night)

When: Saturday, May 22 at 8:00 pm
Where: Stephen's Green, Irish Restaurant, 223 Castro St., Mountain View, CA 94041

Meetup and party again, this time on Saturday to join the South American party night. Food, drinks and salsa (Visit www.ststephensgreen.com) Free before 10 pm, then $10 cover.

"Accidental Army" & "Prague 1968" (Event by Orinda/Tabor Sister Cities)

A Czech Perspective on ‘Audience’ (Event by San Francisco Theater Pub)

Audience opens Tuesday April 13 at the Cafe Royale (800 Post Street, at Leavenworth) and plays April 13, 19, 20 and May 3 and 4. Shows are at 8pm and admission is free. Email theaterpub@atmostheatre.com for reservations.

2010 International Juried Plastic Camera Show (Event by RayKo Photo Center)

The Rayko Photo Center in San Francisco selected Czech photographer, Michael Borek, as a featured artist for its 2010 International Juried Plastic Camera Show. Michael will be showing his works from Wide Asleep, Half Awake, and the Bridges of Montgomery County portfolios. The opening reception will be held on Friday, February 26, 6-8 pm. Bahok – dance performance series (Event by Akram Khan Company)

Originally a collaboration between Khan and the National Ballet of China, bahok brings together dancers from Slovakia, India, China, Korea, South Africa and Spain, performing to an original composition by award-winning composer Nitin Sawhney.
